Raising Children for Jesus
Children are a Blessing...
And a Lot of Hard Work!
I am so thankful for our three little boys! They are such a blessing. At the same time, they are a lot of hard work! But if you've gotten a glimpse of what a Christian family can be like then you know that all of the hard work will be worth it.

On the right hand column you'll find several links to different resources that have helped me so much in my calling as a mother. I have so much more to learn but I am so thankful for everything I have been taught or read that has spurred me on in motherhood.

I think the biggest thing I have learned so far is that I cannot do any of this by myself. And I am so glad to realize this! The only way it is possible is for Jesus to do it through me. I am selfish, I don't know what to do so much of the time, and without Him I get angry, impatient, and I don't have the vision and joy I need to do the job well. But I thank God so much that with Christ, I can die to my old self and that He can live His life through me. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control are what He brings and I know all of those are needed each day to raise little ones for Jesus.

Some days go really well, but a lot of them are hard. Sometimes I wonder why it is so hard but then I remember the blessing of the hard days is that it makes me look and cling to Jesus more than ever. Keep looking to Him, my friend!  He will give you the wisdom you need. He will show you how to capture their hearts, and He will help give you the grace to lay down your life each moment of the day. I pray that He will encourage you in being a mother and to know how powerful that position is. Be encouraged and keep looking to Jesus!
