When we first got married, I had no idea my husband was such an amazing builder. Neither did he. We both found out by accident. It all happened one day when there was a leak in the shower. Nicky went to pull out some old caulk and the wall started falling apart. That was the start of our bathroom remodel that Nicky ended up doing pretty much on his own with advice from friends and You Tube. It's amazing what you can do when you listen, watch, and then get the tools out and see what happens. I really believe that Jesus helped him as well because many times he hasn't known what to do and somehow Jesus would get him to the right info or put the idea in his mind instantly. I'm so glad that Jesus knows about all things, including building. (He was a carpenter after all.)
After the bathroom was done (three long months and all of Nicky's free time) and it turned out amazing, we realized it was a lot cheaper to do things ourselves. So I became the planner and designer and Nicky would build it for me. We are a good team. :-)
