Curriculum
Preschool:
For preschool I have been using Rod And Staff's series. I have been starting the preschool workbooks when they have turned 3. I usually do other little books and things as well, but these are the main deal. I love them because they are cheap, good, and so sweet and wholesome.
Kindergarten and On (Except Math)
I've just started "My Father's World" for first Grade with Lucas. (I made my own Kindergarten curriculum for him but will use MFW in Kindergarten for Alex.) I am so excited about it! They have a good mixture of workbook and hands on and of course it all points to Jesus. I love the focus it has on the world and teaching about men and women of God from the past.
Math
I got Math U See instead of using MFW math and I really like it so far. I have actually learned a lot of things I didn't know and I just started it with Lucas! It is very hands on and it comes with a video of a teacher who teaches the lesson so you know exactly how to do it.
I am so happy I get to homeschool my children! What a blessing to get to be the one who decides what they learn and to teach it to them. It is amazing how fast they learn when it is one on one. And the flexibility of home-
schooling is also another blessing.

Because so many are homeschooling these days, they have TONS of resources out there and there is lots of support. I really believe that pretty much anyone who is walking with Jesus can do it because He will help them. There is also the possibility of doing it with others you know for accountability and help. We don't do that at this point, but who knows what God will have in the future.

I recently went to the exhibition hall at the Indianapolis Homeschool Convention and I highly recommend that when deciding what curriculum to use. It was so nice to look through all of the materials and see the different options out there. I also got some neat items like learning placemats (maps of the states and world, the human body, weather...). Those are great for talking about during meal time. Lucas already knows where about 20 different countries are and we just got them recently. The Convention has many different materials for different styles of learning and it is so nice to get to find materials that fit your teaching style and the children's learning styles!

Let me know if you have any questions. I am just a beginner in it all as well, but we can help each other along the way! :)
Scheduling Resource

This book is so good for helping to schedule and manage your home for homeschooling families!  It has been so helpful to me and I highly recommend it. It's called Managers of Their Homes.
