Our House
The Lord Provides
A peek into our home...
We were living in our first house for two years when we found that we were running out of space. We already had to find a new home for a young man who was living with us to make room for two Bulgarian book salesmen to stay with us for the summer. I also found out we were going to have baby #2. The really challenging part was that our one bathroom was in the middle of our bedroom and Lucas' and the only way to get to it was through one of them. That doesn't work well when you have guests, which we constantly did. We weren't planning on even looking for a new house until Nicky came home from prayer meeting one morning. A couple from our church was asking for prayer because their house still had not sold and because of that they were lowering the price. By the end of that day, Nicky and I were pretty certain that God wanted us to buy their house! There was one problem though and that was that we had to sell our house. God was in it all though and by the end of the deal we didn't even have to put our house on the market because the realtor that sold us our new house decided she wanted to buy our old one to sell on contract. Not only that but our mortgage payment hardly changed at all and we now had a house at least double the size of our old one. We were so thankful. Within a month, we had a Amanda, a young lady who the Lord had saved and brought into our church, move in with us and she has been here ever since.
The Lord has been so kind to provide us with some amazing furniture that we were given, including a grand piano! We want to be thankful and faithful with all we have been given and also hold it with an open hand knowing that the Lord gives and the Lord takes away.
Unless the Lord has for us to move someday in the future, we are set and content to live here for the rest of our days. We're excited to fill it with love, His presence, more children, and any other guests he sends our way.
