Entryway
Welcome to Our Home!
Before...
Our home is about 100 years old. Besides some rolling floors and some cracked walls, it is in pretty good condition. And with the age comes lots of character. I love the pocket french doors and all of the beautiful trim and crown moulding all throughout the house. Sometimes I walk around and think, wow, this is like a mansion. I am blessed. It's amazing that these homes like this in Kokomo are really affordable. We don't spend much more on this home than we would if we were renting.
As you can see in the picture to the right, the walls were covered with a red and white striped flowery wallpaper. Thankfully the paper came off easy in this room because when you go up the stairs it gets pretty high. I decided to paint the walls a beige color so it would clash with any of the rooms that it connects to.
To the right of the hallway is the entrance to the dining room. To the left is the living room. And straight ahead is the hall bathroom and then the breakfast nook that connects to the kitchen. I hope you enjoy the tour!
